It all starts with a small, barely noticeable gesture of negligence, a paper cup nonchalantly thrown on the sidewalk, or a disrespectful word to a neighbour, and the next thing we know is that the world is in danger. As someone who has lived through a civil war and experienced the panic and fear of escaping from a flooded house, I try to translate into images my fascination with urban decay, small things that lead to big things, the signs that people receive all the time and usually fail to act upon until it is too late…
