Do you need to hide your identity?

If you think that the publication of your works could cause a risk to your safety, you can ask to use a pseudonym and to delete all references to your real name and place of residence.
To make this request, contact us using the secure contact form.

The Account Activity Policy describes when PRIVATE Photo Review may close your account due to Account Inactivity.

Account Activity is defined by the following statutes: ZeroPostActiveInactive.

  • ZeroPost account – An account that the author has never used to submit his content (Photography, News, Writing).
  • Active account – An account that has been used at least once time in the last 3 months to submit new content (Photography, Writing, News).
  • Inactive account – An account that was not used to submit new content for at least 3 months.

ZeroPost policy

  • The ZeroPost statute is automatically assigned to new accounts. 
  • After registering your account, to make it active you must send your first contribution within 15 days from the date of registration of your account.
  • After 15 days from the date of account registration, if you have not sent any contribution, your account will be definitively deleted.

Active Author Account policy

The Author Account has Active status if the user has performed at least one of the following actions:

How does PRIVATE Photo Review determine inactivity?

  • We consider an Author Account Inactive when the user has not submit any new content in the last 3 months

Whether an account is Inactive may be permanently delete due to prolonged inactivity.

Please note that account deletion is final, and we cannot recover an account deleted.

To keep your Author Account Active take one of the following:

1) Submit new content
The simplest way to keep your Author Account Active is to Submit new content at least once every 3 months.

2) Make a donation
Another way to keep your Author Account Active is to actively support us by making a donation.
This will help support the costs of running the site and allow us to extend the Active status for your Author Account, while keeping all your world online.

Author Account requests are subject to verification process. This verification process can take 24 to 48 hours.

If your Author Account request passes the verification process, it will be enabled and you will receive an email notification.

How does PRIVATE Photo Review determine inactivity?

To reset your account password

  • click on the Login icon located in the top main menu
  • click on Forget!
  • then enter your account email address and click on “Reset password

A password reset email has been sent to the email address on file for your account, but may take several minutes to show up in your inbox. Please wait at least 10 minutes before attempting another reset.

The Author Page is where you can show off / promote your work and share information about yourself. On this page you can include a photo of yourself, a bio and… your contents.

When considering your headshot, you want to keep it classy but not boring.
And with all headshots, you want it to look professional. A clean, high-quality photo is what you want. No one wants a grainy pixelated photo to represent their brand!

Your Bio
This will be the next most important thing a viewer will see. An author’s bio is the foundation to get their work out there. It’s as much for you as it is for your readers.

Your contents
Then there’s your content that shows what you can do.

Yes of course, you can submit a news to promote and advertise your photo exhibition.
Please use this form to submit News.
(We accept news submission about Event, International Photo Festival, International Photography Awards, Crowdfunding project, Photo Book, Photo exhibition, Workshop.)

Please use this form to change a Tag Description.

To request deletion or modification of your contents (posts), log in to your account, go to the SUBMIT page, then scroll down the page to the Account Utilities area and select Change/Delete Your Post (contents).

No, in the submission form you will find the text fields where you can insert captions.

The Thorough File Naming Convention for Contributors

  1. The initials of the Author Name (First name Last name)
    For example, Vivian Maier would have VM initials.
  2. Write dates back to front.
    State the date ‘back to front’, and use four-digit years, two-digit months, and two-digit days: YYYYMMDD or YYYYMM or YYYY or YYYY-YYYY.
  3. Finally, you need to number your photos. Use two digits at the end of their filename.

  • File requirements
    • File type:jpg format (Web Optimized).
    • File size: Max 1 MB size. Width: min 1200, max 2000 pixels. Height: min 1200, max 2000 pixels.
  • Photo Non-Commercial
    • We do not allow photos which contain logos, promotional material, or any other content intended for commercial purposes.
  • We only accept clean photographs, with no overlapping lettering, logos or watermark.

A full-bleed image extends from one edge of your browser window to the other, spanning the width of the site. This creates an expansive feel and puts the focus on imagery.

In general, a file (photo) that respects the Image size recommended and is correctly optimized and Save for Web, does not exceed the size of 1 MB.
The total size of the files sent via the “submission form” must not exceed 10 MB.
If the total size of the files you are trying to send exceeds 10 MB, the sending will fail and will be aborted.

If you want to promote your photo book, submit a News in the “Photo book” category.

This is the procedure:

  • Go to the “Submit” page
  • Select “Submit News”
  • Choose the “Photo book” category
  • Fill out the form now and submit it.

That’s all! Within 24/48 hours your news will be published online.

How to write compelling captions?

Provide some context or background to the reader so he or she can understand the news value of the photograph.

A basic photo captions should:

  • Clearly identify the people and locations that appear in the photo.
  • Include the date the photograph was taken.
  • Provide some context or background to the reader so he or she can understand the news value of the photograph.

Be brief. Most captions are one or two short, declarative sentences.
