Behind the lens at The Odyssey Trojan Horse beach location

Captured on 5×4 large format infrared film, this series documents a local beach during multiple visits between 2020 and 2021.

Recent rainfall had dramatically resculpted the dunes, lifting the sand into sharp, unfamiliar contours.

Chasing the final thirty minutes of daylight, I paired a red filter with a fresh box of infrared film.

This combination sliced through the humid coastal haze, rendering the landscape in an arresting, high-contrast graphic style.
