Under the patronage of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the Yangon Photo Festival (YPF) has become one of the main international yearly events in Myanmar.
About a year ago I was fortunate enough to travel to Myanmar. I had long followed the politics of this fascinating country and had a long-standing fascination, admiration and respect for Aung San Suu Kyi.
After 15 years under house arrest, the Nobel Peace laureate and leader of the National League for Democracy, Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi, contested Myanmar’s parliamentary bi-elections on April 1, 2012.
