These photographs are a part of a study of conflict inside the African continent made by Francesco Zizola. Sub-Saharan Africa is home to a great number of ongoing conflicts, as well as the world’s largest deposits of natural resources.
Mastering this split image is the role which photographers of African origin have assigned themselves, sometimes against their better judgement, in order to avoid misunderstandings.
