Matilde Gattoni (www.matildegattoni.com) was born in Italy in 1974 from a French mother and an Italian father. She studied History and History of the Art at the University of Strasbourg in France. Her work focuses on water issues around the world, due to drought, desertification and ecological disasters. Her photographic work has appeared in publications such as Time Magazine, Elle, Geo, The Observer, Der Spiegel and Ventiquattro.
