Ma Xiao Hu

Ma Xiao Hu who gave himself the surname of Mao, was born in Beijing and joined Magnum as a correspondent in 1994. In 1988 he completed his studies at the TV Broadcasting University in his hometown and in 1989 embarked on a two-year personal photographic project on psychiatric institutions in China. In 1992 he started a project on Catholicism in rural China which he completed in 1996.
