Alvaro Leiva

Alvaro Leiva (www.alvaroleiva.com), born in 1970 in Madrid. In 1989 he started shooting travel photography, and has since travelled to over eighty countries on assignment. In conjunction with his commercial work, he has worked for the past seven years on The River People. The project documents the daily lives of people along five of the world’s major rivers – the Amazon, Ganges, Mekong, Mississippi and Niger.
