Santasil Mallik (1996), I am more interested in the philosophy and politics that surround the medium of photography, its limitations, its scopes and its subjectivity. The medium achieves its enigma from the fact that it falsely claims to be an objective recorder of truth. Photography for me is an "expanding eye" to project the social, cultural and political constructs that hold the boundless ethereal sea of consciousness into a seemingly established and solidified form.
