Greetings from afar

  United Kingdom

Everyone communicates differently: daily texts, occasional phone calls, long video chats – modern technology helps a lot… But what about a happy surprise with personal touch among the usual junk mails and bills – a post card?
I’m the kind of person who runs to check my post box every day – hoping to receive a special note. It could be a handwritten card or nowadays there are plenty of postcard apps to create a personalised long distance hug or even to share your own creativity with friends and family. Actually this is what I’m doing: sending out my favourite photographs with greetings from afar.

Marina Tsaregorodtseva

I was born in Russia, in 2009 moved to the UK where currently living. Moving to another country had a huge impact on my life: inability to share experiences and impressions with my family kind of forced me to restrain my feelings. That’s why you can notice two ideas in my work: on one hand, I’d like to show the world and share what impressed me, and on the other hand photography is my way of splashing out personal emotions through abstraction.
