Your EUrope Italy

[T]his work is about adolescence. The protagonists are young people living a part of their lives in the “elsewhere” of a therapeutic rehabilitation center. In this “place not place” they do pass a youth made of jokes, loves and quarrels, with a lot of “suspended” moments and gazes lost in emptiness, waiting for something undefined. The “suspension” is the main theme of this work: is a state of mind, the atmosphere of these young lifes.

I’ve adopted a sober photographic language, avoiding sensationalism, trying to see through wounds and cries of anger. They helped me to realize the cause of their anger and the pain is hidden in their silences. Something that belongs to us is hidden in their gaze, gestures, details. (Santolo Felaco)
