Park Ballads, photo essay by Akib Abdullah[P]arks are not about the places, it’s about the people. The people, their happiness, their emotions, connections. Intimacy finds them amidst all the trouble and isolation. A little bit of laughter, tiny piece of life; that is what makes the parks memorable. And often inseparable from the very idea of being.
Through the rush and the hustle, from the running and tiresome daily machine-like routine, selling out their every part of liveliness and self the people are somewhat incapable of the luxury called ‘being free’. Happiness is a burden, life is overrated. Amidst all these the park is the place where you feel or be felt. (Akib Abdullah)
