Malaysian Hindus devotees possessed by the god reacts in a state of trance as before his pilgrimage to sacred Batu Cave temple during Thaipusam Festival in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia on 24th January 2015. Devotees pierce different part of their body with various things and carry pots of milk along couple of kilometres to say thank you and show their appreciation to their Gods, Lord Murugan, during Thaipusam festival. Asyraf Rasid was born in Klang, Malaysia. He is photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He received a degree in Photography majoring in Photojournalism at a local University before beginning as a freelance photographer and now he worked as a staff photographer for The Sun Daily Kuala Lumpur.He has covered a range of stories of Malaysian festivals and events. He interested in photojournalism and documentary photography.
