The reportage tells the story of Stefano and Laura, husband and wife who are both blind and visually impaired. The images focus on their peaceful home life and their approach to difficulties of every day living. A relationship of mutual trust was built up during the two years I spent with them.
The images communicate the calm and courage they transmit bringing up their daughter Teresa. Stefano’s constant pursuit for independence on the streets of the town where he lives redesigning his own mental maps. Laura’s constant care of Teresa.
All I could feel was the energy of their happiness which guides them to overcome the difficulties of their blindness.
