Danny Veys,Β “Re-construction” Aceh, from PRIVATE 37 β an Ecological Question
July 2005 Aceh, Indonesia
On December 26th 2004 the coast of the Aceh province in Indonesia was heavily struck by a tsunami. Approximately 200,000 people were killed. Many survivors became homeless and many of them are still refugees in their own country.
500 days after the facts, when the international press has lost interest, and the aftermath still resonated all over Aceh, Danny Veys visited the area and made a photographic reportage about this area.
