Photolimits is a Belgium based photographers platform specialised in social documentary photography which was found in 2006. In different (inter)national photographic stories the photographers focus on social phenomena like cultural, economic or social tensions, ecological issues, religious matters, et cetera. The stories do not particularly focus on visual headlines but concentrate on more elaborate, considered and comprehensive approaches of different items. Started out of sincere interest and investigation of the subject matter, Photolimits offers through different personal approaches a diverse view on actual documentary photography in a growing series of albums.

Photolimits most importantly manifests itself through its internet website to which current work is added on a regular basis. Beside Photolimits publishes its imagery in various magazines and presents itself in group exhibitions.

The objective of this initiative is to heighten the strength and diversity of the individual photographers and, in doing so, to establish a reference point for strong social photo stories.
