Toscana Photographic Workshop 2010

Toscana Photographic Workshop began in 1994, offering a series of photographic workshops of one or more weeks.
Together with the workshops in Tuscany, that represent the heart of TPW, we have added special projects, that is, workshops connected with specific events such as the Easter Processions in Sicily, Transylvania, workshops in India,  and a new one in the USA.

After the great success of the first Edition of Passion&Profession in Montepulciano and Milan, we are now launching a 4th edition in Anghiari, Tuscany at the end of June. This is  a meeting where, with the help of high qualified experts, we will examine all the aspects of the photographic profession.
Our aim is to push young photographers to focus on the world of professional photography and to try to change their passion into  a profession.
The experts will lead micro-seminars and will review participants portfolio.

TPW has originated, maintained and developed an international character over the years: students come from all over the world, helping us make a unique cultural exchange.
The guest teachers at TPW are considered among the best professionals, working for magazines such as the National Geographic, New York Times, Newsweek, and for prestigious agencies such as Magnum, NOOR, VII, Vu,  and artists who exhibit their work in galleries and museums around the world.

Summer courses are one week long and take place in the hills south of Siena, at our Centre in Sant’Anna in Camprena, a 14th century Benedictine Monastery in the middle of Val d’Orcia, part of UNESCO Heritage Places.
The area is isolated enough to guarantee peace and concentration, but is also close enough to the major art centres of Tuscany, including Montepulciano, Siena, San Gimignano, Pienza, etc…
Other course will take place in another Tuscan location, Anghiari, between June and July. This will be technical oriented workshop, and will have a reduced cost (€ 900 per week) compared to the ones in Sant’Anna (€ 1.080). Anghiari is a medieval town, close to Arezzo , Sansepolcro, Perugia.

What is so special about our workshops is the possibility we offer to students, teachers and assistants to share their experiences throughout the week, by living all together. The workshops run from Sunday afternoon to the following Saturday.

Except for only a few specific workshops, the number of students is limited to 15 per course, to allow for a more enjoyable experience for all.
